Benjamin’s story

Prior to joining The Personnel Group in 2021, Benjamin had been without a full-time job for five years and was finding it difficult to gain permanent employment.

With the help of The Personnel Group and his own dedication, Benjamin gained a casual job at Repco and soon blossomed with the on-the-job training he received.

“The Personnel Group has been fantastic.  They have provided a range of support options from studying, mental health referrals, work clothing and workplace modifications to enable me to continue working in the office,” says Benjamin.

Through hard work and perseverance, Benjamin later secured the Store Manager role at Repco in Griffith, overseeing staff rosters, payroll, ordering stock, and managing customer service.

Over the course of his new job, Ben’s health has also improved so much that he has been able to come off medication.  Ben says “I’m a completely different person.  I have learned to adapt and make better life choices”.
