Better Place Project – A workforce wellbeing initiative

The Personnel Group has partnered with Albury Business Connect to launch the new Better Place Project website (betterplaceproject.com.au/).

We are proud to back this important business mental health check initiative.

This website is an important online “Go To” resource for employers and employees looking for support or guidance about workplace mental health.

It was created in response to the initial Better Place Project wellbeing survey, in October 2020, which highlighted significant mental health and wellbeing impacts across businesses and workers.

“The Border region is a vibrant place to live and work, and ensuring our workforce is mentally healthy leads to better creativity, happier workplaces and more prosperous communities,” says The Personnel Group’s chief executive officer Tracey Fraser.

The Better Place Project workforce mental health website offers access to a wide range of supports available to employers and employees to support themselves.

The website is part of a suite of Better Place Project measures to promote mental health awareness and wellbeing resources available to business owners and employees in Albury.

Other initiatives include:

  • A concierge position to support businesses by providing face-to-face information about accessing assistance,
  • A new Supporting Mental Health in the Workplace category in the Albury-Wodonga Business Awards to promote workplace mental health and encourage good business practice for mental wellbeing at work.

The Better Place Project receives financial support from the NSW Government through the office of NSW Minister for Mental Health, Regional Youth and Women Bronnie Taylor.
